Warehousing and Packing

Changes in manufacturing and the flow of global trade require flexible freight management solutions. Wallis is happy to arrange warehousing and storage to meet your specific requirements during import or export.

For your inbound cargo we can offer a full pick-and pack operation, temporary and permanent storage solution after devanning and deconsolidation. We will look after your stock and arrange distribution within the UK against picked orders with our UK haulage team.

Warehousing

Wallis have been successfully delivering warehousing services to businesses throughout the UK for over 30 years. We have experience of handling a wide range of products with warehousing solutions including food produce and medical supplies. We now offer temporary and long-term warehousing and e-commerce fulfilment with distribution options.

Supply Chain Check

With the assistance of our own in-house freight management software Exporteasewe have the capability to monitor and track either your outbound or inbound cargo. We also have the capability to connect our systems with our clients’ own software to ensure smooth transfer of all required data, for example with stock checking while goods are warehoused.

Packing and Palletising

For your overseas cargo we can arrange specialist export packing, palletisation and shrink- wrapping. We ensure that all necessary country packing standards are complied with before export ensuring your cargo arrives in perfect condition. This includes understanding where your cargo will be stored at its final destination and indeed for how long.

Stowage Plans

Our service also covers out of gauge cargo as part of a turnkey project and includes stowage and securing cargo onto or into containers. Prior to shipment we will discuss with you your cargo requirements and how it will be handled and secured taking into consideration lifting points, sizes, weights and centre of gravity. We can undertake loading and securing your cargo if you are unable to do so. This attention to detail is required to make sure that the vessel and aircraft providers are able to ship your cargo safely and in good condition, and so it arrives at destination just how it left.
